So watch for sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate. Unfortunately, it is usually the whitening agent in the toothpaste that causes the sores. And be prepared to start getting really mad at all of the garbage that is in the products for your kids!Michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03778051988632200847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1064403187133241523.post-72826137910367053892011-01-23T12:31:13.068-08:002011-01-23T12:31:13.068-08:00Sandy - we have had the exact same thing happen ar...Sandy - we have had the exact same thing happen around here with sores in the mouth that nobody could figure out. After getting rid of toothpaste with sodium laurel sulfate and starting one without it, the sores miraculously disappeared. Give it a try and let us know if it works for you - I sure hope so!Michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03778051988632200847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1064403187133241523.post-10474204531252339982011-01-23T11:32:41.828-08:002011-01-23T11:32:41.828-08:00Wow! Every time I brush my teeth my mouth and tongue stings and hurts really bad. And the soars just cause general discomfort quite often. I have had the thought before that my mouth was irritated by the toothpaste. I am for sure going to good earth tomorrow to try something without sodium lauryl sulfate which is what is in Colgate. I tried to look at Crest but I don't have the box it came in anymore and it doesn't say what it has in it on the tube. Also my kids totally eat the toothpaste when they brush. They are for sure getting a new one tomorrow.Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16173461340265046241noreply@blogger.com
